Bao Canyon Turquoise and Spiny Oyster Pendant
Strikingly modern and completely handmade, this one-of-a-kind pendant was created by our third-generation silversmith, Sam Patania. Its sleek, elongated design highlights the natural beauty of two richly contrasting materials: a distinctive rectangular piece of Bao Canyon Turquoise and a vivid Spiny Oyster cabochon.
The 35 x 13 mm Bao Canyon Turquoise forms the dramatic vertical focal point of the pendant. Its unique hues, ranging from soft blue-green and to deeper earthy tones, are accented by intricate natural matrix, giving the stone an organic landscape-like quality. At the top, a bright 10 mm round Spiny Oyster cabochon introduces a vivid red accent, creating a bold yet beautifully balanced contrast agains the turquoise
Measuring approximately 3.5 inches in length, the pendant has an elegant, elongated silhouette that feels both architectural and fluid. Clean lines and refined silverwork frame the stones without overpowering them, keeping the color, pattern, and individuality of the turquoise at the center of the design. The result is a contemporary interpretation of Southwestern jewelry, sleek enough for a modern wardrobe, yet unmistakably rooted in the character of natural gemstones and handmade craftsmanship.
A truly distinctive work of wearable art, this Bao Canyon Turquoise and Spiny Oyster pendant reflects Sam Patania’s talent for pairing exceptional stones with clean, sophisticated design. Completely handmade and absolutely one of a kind, it is a collector-worthy piece for anyone drawn to unusual turquoise, bold color, and contemporary Southwestern jewelry.
